Breakfast in Aguas Calientes

On the morning of Machu Picchu day our Mystic Tour of the Cusco region, you will awaken from your cozy hotel room in Aguas Calientes, the town below the great archeological citadel, at 6 a.m. A delicious breakfast buffet will be waiting for you. We want to get an early start to the citadel to avoid the crowds! We will help you check out from the hotel and keep your possessions safe until we pass them on to you at the train station at 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

Pack your day pack with camera, snacks and mineral water (we provide), sunscreen and rain jacket (just in case). Put on your sun hat, grab your walking pole, as there are some steps to climb, and let’s go!

Be prepared for a truly unforgettable experience at this famous Wonder of the World!

Transport yourself into an ancient past as we initiate you into its powerful spiritual mysteries hidden beneath the surface of these magnificent buildings.

Unfortunately most tour guides follow the academic interpretations of this site, from which most mention of the central spiritual significance and practices have been removed. While there is a lot of controversy over the meaning and function of this and all archeological sites, we will provide a variety of possible interpretations for a truly mystic tour into the hidden secrets of this great spiritual temple.

At noon we meet at the entrance to catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

We will provide you a list of restaurants we recommend for you to choose from. This is one of the only times when we will not cover the cost, so you can decide exactly what food and beverages you want to enjoy.

Train back to Ollantaytambo

Everyone meets at the train station at 2 p.m. to be on time with tickets in hand for the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there we hop back onto our van for a ride back to Cusco.

Evening in Cusco City

Back in Cusco city, we unload our things at the hotel and enjoy a night on the town.
